SURVIVING THE TEST FOR THE TESTIMONY

I Peter 5:8-11 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

I have experienced and seen some things that I thought I wouldn’t survive. Everything that could go wrong has and then it got worse. I’ve always been taught that GOD doesn’t give us more than we can bear. Every trial is for two reasons: 1) For your good or 2) The glory of GOD. A friend spoke these prophetic words to me, “Veela, GOD has given you those broad shoulders to withstand whatever test the enemy comes with.”

Psalm 37:25 ………I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

So how you do you survive the chaos? When everything looks crazy and you find yourself questioning your faith. FATHER where are you? You’ve prayed all night and didn’t get an answer…or at least it didn’t feel like it.

Psalm 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Whenever I hear the above referenced Scripture I never hear the complete verse quoted. If you look that may be the best part and the message we need to hear. No matter what we do or where we go, no matter what trials we face we never lose GOD’S favor. We may separate ourselves. We may even turn away. The definition of sin is anything that separates you from GOD. We forget that and people aren’t quick to remind us. They forget about GOD’S grace.

Psalm 139:8 If I go up to heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in hell, you are there.

Romans 8:39 Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I know I’ve quoted a lot of Scripture in this post, but that’s what I hold on to. In the midst of your suffering know that GOD’S promises are true.

Numbers 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Hold on my Brother. Be strong my Sister, in the end GOD’S gotcha. I know right now many of us are going through the test, but if you hold out a little while longer you will have a powerful testimony. As my friend says, you will get double for your trouble.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
