ATTENTION: UNDER NEW CONSTRUCTION
I am in a good place right now for GOD to do something life-changing in my life. Originally I thought I was dealing with a conversion, but GOD decided differently. Anybody who has property or dealt with real estate knows that a conversion is when you take the original structure and make renovations. For example; a developer might take an apartment building and convert the units into condominiums. The builder will literally gut out the units and rebuild. The structure remains intact, but everything within each unit is upgraded. Whatever amenities the structure had are kept or improved.
Sometimes after an assessment is done and a developer is given a report that it’s more cost-effective to create a new structure. They will demolish the old structure and remove all debris; until all that’s left is the land to build on. Which is better? What do you like more? Personally, I like new. I like having something no one else has had. Each house has a history. Even though it’s yours there was a previous owner. When money is no object you build a new structure from the ground up. I learned that in order to build a skyscraper the foundation has to be as deep as the structure itself. In other words; the taller the building the deeper the foundation has to be to withstand the elements. I have a saying, “The deeper the depth; the higher the height.”
Its funny how you can get to a place where you think you can’t live without something. It’s a very humbling experience. When you deal with any construction you need a blueprint; which is essentially your instructions. But you need someone with experience who is a licensed contractor to go in. Anyone who has done work to their home or had a repair knows that if you don’t hire the right person for the job it will cost you more in the end. There is nothing worse than paying for a job and it’s done incorrectly. This means you have no choice but to hire someone else to either correct the job or start over. You have to have a building permit and meet certain codes and standards. Try building without a permit and you will be shut down! We all know that time is money. And if it’s an extensive renovation; it may require you to vacate the premises until the construction is complete. No one likes to feel like a nomad. But there’s no place like home; especially if it’s your home.
So the permits are in place. The licensing has been approved for a new structure. The blueprint has been given. There’s nothing left, but to create a new structure. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 However the New Living Translation of the Bible says, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Anyone who has ever been through a transformation knows that the people you thought would be there are now gone. The ones that you least expected would be there have come through. You have to clear the old to make way for the new. This means EVERYTHING! Let go and let GOD! This means that even if you have to let go of the very thing you couldn’t live without GOD has something better. I’m under new construction, but I prefer to have something nobody else has had but me.
