I JUST WANNA BE HAPPY

As we go into this New Year it’s apparent to me that finding love or a relationship is not the end-all, be-all to life. My life encompasses so much more; as does yours. It’s hard to be all giddy and love-struck when the bills need to be paid, your children ain’t acting right, and your business or job isn’t going the way you planned. Welcome to the real world. I’m not saying that having a relationship isn’t comforting, but it isn’t the complete answer.

I started this blog as a way to work through some personal issues and address some things that were a constant conversation with friends. Don’t get me wrong. I want you to be happy and find love, but I want this forum to address the complete person. I don’t have all the answers. I am however; willing to reach out to experts in all areas and get their perspective.

From this day forward this blog will address any questions you may have. If I don’t know the answer I’ll find an expert that does. No subject is off limits. We have some great resources available to us. Maybe all you need is feedback or maybe a sounding-board. I want to hear your story and your concerns. This blog could be a source of encouragement. Sometimes we need to hear about the tragedy to look for the triumph. I want to tell both sides.

Maybe you’re a struggling entrepreneur (like me) who is always open to business advice. Or a single parent who has the daunting and thankless task of getting your children to adulthood. Even then they still need us. Maybe you’re fighting against genetics and your own shortcomings to reclaim your health. I don’t know about you, but last year was a struggle on many levels for me. Believe it or not; now is the best time to step out on faith and create that business venture you’ve been dreaming of. When you’re starting at ground zero there is nowhere to go, but up!!

Do I still believe in love? Of course I do, but until you’re happy with yourself there’s no way to be happy with someone else. So here’s a toast and a prayer that this will be the best year ever and the start of good things to come.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

Love,
Veela aka Venus

  1. This New Year holds New Promise.
    Faith still reigns and this year holds many good things to come.

    I'm smiling over here!
    There was only one!! LoL!
    [sorry all, inside joke]

    As it stands-
    My bills need to be paid;

    The love of my life ain't acting right;

    I have 2 jobs & looking for 1 real one or at least a 3rd piece-of-job;

    My business isn't going right yet I can see where & how I can bring about increase if I stick to what it is that I do as I navigate new waters.

    New people have entered my life who seem to be spurring me to bring this ship about. I wish I could recall where it was I got this from but it has become very vivid to me recently; "Don't block your blessings just because they are not packaged the way you expected."

    The point being, we cannot perceive what is there for us if we are not open enough to receive it in first place.

    I'm open.
    And, I'm in a receptive mode.

    I'm doing what I can which entails taking care of what's been placed right in front of me, first.

    As always 1st things first.

    Happy New Year to you too!
